"A survey on Data Access and dissemination techniques 
for mobile computing environments"

Owing to continuous advances in wireless communication technologies,
wireless data services are taking off in today's commercial market.
However, some characteristics of mobile wireless environments, such as
scarce bandwidth, limited power source and frequent disconnections,
remain a barrier to overcome before the capabilities of mobile computing
can be fully utilized. In recent years, there have been a lot of research
efforts devoted to addressing various data management issues for mobile
environments. In this paper, the data management issues are classified
into a few broad areas. We survey existing techniques reported in the
literature for the issues of data delivery over wireless channels, client
data caching and data replication. Potential future work is also
identified.
