"Expertise Location Agent System"

Abstract

Finding appropriate persons to consulate with is always difficult in reality. This paper tries to focus on this issue. We first review and analyse the existing systems in this domain. Then we propose a framework which incorporates information retrieval techniques for expertise location. We use a centralized expertise repository to save all the information about an expert's expertise. In this architecture, software agents will automate the search of information and expertise. An expertise ontology is also used to ensure the effectiveness of the expert seeking process.
