PhD Qualifying Examination "A Survey on Biometric Systems" By Miss Xia Wu Abstract: A wide variety of systems require reliable personal recognition schemes to confirm or determine the identity of an individual requesting their services. Biometrics, which refers to verification or identification based on physiological or behavioral characteristics, is being increasingly adopted to provide personal recognition with a high degree of confidence.
