Shauna Dalton has been teaching English since 1993, starting her career in India before heading off to The Yemen. Prior to that she was part of the management team for Hertz, Australia (1985-1993). In 1998 Shauna and her family moved to Hong Kong. For a number of years she taught in local schools, hotels and businesses at the same time as working in the CSE department. She now divides her time between the CSE dept and the Business School at HKUST. The most enjoyable part of Shauna's work is her interaction with students and the CSE PG conversation class which she started in 2003. The conversation class is not only a fantastic forum for learning about new ideas it has also become a great networking opportunity for the PG students who attend. Shauna has made many good friends amongst her students, many of whom she is still in contact with years after their graduation.
