The class will have two exams.
For examples as to the type of material that will be examined and how it will be tested please see the following three exams from the Fall 2002 semester
Please note that the class structure has changed; in Fall 2002 there were three exams and this semester there will only be two. Also, a few of the questions on those exams cover material that we will not be seeing (whereas we might see some material not on those exams). But, in general, most of the questions from those exams, could be asked on our exam.
There will be NO formal class 9-10:30 On October 23
But instructor will be in classroom to answer any questions you might have
Due to unavailability of large room the exam will be given in three different rooms; 3401, 3416 and 3501.
Students have been assigned to the different rooms to take the exam. Please check this file to find out which room you have been assigned to.
Exam will cover all material up to and including page 110 of the chapter 3 slides and corresponding material from the textbook. Material on pages 111+ will NOT be on the midterm
UDP Checksum WILL NOT be on the midterm. It will, though, be on the final exam so please check out the updated version of the checksum description.
The Final Exam will be on Monday, Dec 15, 2003, from
8:30-11:30 in room 3007
Exam will cover ALL material taught this semester (including
before the midterm).
More emphasis will be on material taught after the midterm
