"A Survey of Techniques on Image Restoration: Deblurring, Denoising
and Inpainting"

Abstract:

Cameras have become more and more popular with the recent development
of digital equipment and softwares. However, in some cases,
we can not achieve satisfied pictures for the reason of hand-held shaking
without the help of tripod, low Signal-Noise-Ratio in dim environment
and unwanted foreground objects. How to recover a clean
and satisfied picture is an ill-posed problem in computer vision and
graphics from given such a degraded image. These techniques could
be widely used to digital photography industry. Through our detailed
survey, some outstanding research have recently been proposed to
solve these quite difficult problems. Based on this review, we descibe
several potential directions and some possible solutions for my thesis.
