Movie Show ************************* Biography: Professor Zuoliang Cao, Vice President of Tianjin University of Technology (TUT), China., received his BS (1967) and MS (1969) degrees from Harbin Military Engineering College, China. He, as an engineer, was employed at Behai Manufacturing Engineering Company for ten years. Then he joined the faculty groups of the TUT. He is currently a Professor of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. His research interests focus on Mechatronics, Robotics, Intelligent Machines, Computer Vision and Mechanical Control Engineering. He has received numerous awards including the Excellent Contribution Expert Award issued by Chinese Government, Machatronics Expert Award issued by Tianjin Scientific Committee. He spent three years at University of Cincinnati as a visiting professor and worked on the cooperation project of mobile robots. They cooperated with Tennant Company to develop a Vision Guided AGV and even had a US patent awarded. He also built an advanced prototype of an Omni-vision Guided Vehicle at TUT on the project sponsored by 863 China National High-Tech Development Program. More than 70 scientific papers have published. He also got the grants and Awards on Tianjin Science and Technology Progress, The Second Class Invention Award and so on.
