The workshop has received excellent comments from participants. Three sessions of Library Research Workshop are scheduled again this Fall. They will introduce skills in searching library catalog/databases as well as locating different types of information. Although each session has a subject focus, PGs & research staff are welcome to attend ANY ONE of the following: 25 Sep (Wed) 3:00-4:20 pm (focus on CIVL information sources) 27 Sep (Fri) 2:00-3:20 pm (focus on CENG information sources) 7 Oct (Mon) 4:00-5:00 pm (focus on COMP information sources) Venue: Library Computer Lab (LG1332 on LG1, next to Media Resources) The workshop will summarize key concepts of database searching and cover the following topics: 1. Library Catalog 2. Doctoral & Master's Theses 3. Journal Articles & Conference Papers (Chemical Abstracts on CD-ROM, Ei Compendex, IEEE Xplore, INSPEC, Web of Science, etc.) 4. Technical Reports 5.
