This role is critical to delivering scalable, performant, and secure AI systems that power next-generation user experiences for the US market. Your work will directly define the "Intelligence Layer" of our devices, ensuring that AI is not just an application, but a core capability of the NUU Android ecosystem.

Job Description:
• Drive the design for AI-driven features on our custom Android platforms, from initial concept through production-level deployment.
• Define and evolve end-to-end system designs, including OS integration, system services, APIs, and device-level AI capabilities.
• Drive the integration of on-device and hybrid AI systems with Android frameworks, ensuring peak performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Partner with firmware, application, and cloud teams to deliver cohesive AI experiences that differentiate NUU in the competitive US market.
• Influence the roadmap for AI platform capabilities, aligning with NUU’s broader strategy to integrate Generative AI into both the product and the development lifecycle.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across system design, architectural reviews, and best practices.
• Stay current with the global evolution of AI device platforms, on-device system design trends, and emerging Android hardware capabilities.
Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in system architecture, platform engineering, or large-scale mobile software design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Deep Android Expertise: Solid understanding of OS-level concepts, including the Android Open-Source Project (AOSP) stack, processes, memory management, and system services is a major advantage.
• Programming Proficiency: Strong experience in Java/Kotlin, C++, and Python.
• System Design Excellence: Ability to translate complex product requirements into robust, high-performance technical architectures.
Preferred Qualifications
• Mobile AI Architecture: Strong experience building or integrating AI/ML systems on Android (on-device, hybrid, or cloud-assisted).
• Framework Engineering: Familiarity with Android internals, system-level software development, and custom ROM optimization.
• Agentic System Design: Experience with cross-app automation, intent-based execution, and leveraging Android system APIs for agentic workflows.
• Optimization Specialist: Background in performance optimization, power management, or security design specifically for mobile client devices.
• Innovation Mindset: A passion for platform engineering and staying current with the rapid evolution of Generative AI and its application in hardware.
