Notes on the projects:

Each project will be undertaken by a group of 3 or 2 students

The projects are listed below. If a project is listed twice this means that two different groups will be allowed, independently, to do the same project.

For more information about a particular project please email the listed proposer

To sign up for a project please email me, M.J. Golin (golin@cs.ust.hk). You should send me the names and email addresses of the students in your group along with the project you want to sign up for. Projects will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve, basis. I will respond to your email by informing you whether you have been assigned to your requested project or whether it has already been allocated. The updated list of group assignments will be kept on this web page for your viewing.

Each project will comprise a written component and an oral report

The written component will be an 8-12 page description of the topic area. If the project is the name of a paper, then the project is a description of the paper along with, possibly, some related literature.
The oral report will take place in mid-June. The exact date will be decided upon by the project proposer. If you would like to submit your report and make your presentation earlier than mid-June (and receive your grade earlier) that is possible. Please speak to the project proposer about an earlier submission date.
