About Mark

I am Mark NG (吳沛熹, Ng Pui Hei Mark), a PhD student of HKUST’s TACO Lab under the supervision of Prof. Parreaux. My research focuses on the program optimization and compilation techniques for features such as algebraic effect handlers.

During my undergraduate studies at HKUST, it became my goal to learn how compilers made sense of my spaghetti code, let alone produce an efficient executable from it. In pursuit of this, after obtaining my Bachelor’s degree, I joined Prof. Parreaux’s lab and discovered the world of programming languages and their underlying theory. I hope to undertake deep explorations in the field and contribute meaningfully.
