PG Student Peiyan Zhang Awarded the Best Paper Award-Honorable Mention in the 16th ACM International WSDM Conference
Dr. Sunghun Kim, PhD students, Mr. Peiyan Zhang, Miss Yueqi Xie, Mr. Jae Boum Kim in department of Computer Science & Engineering with other researchers received Best Paper Award - Honorable Mention" for their paper "Efficiently Leveraging Multi-level User intent for Session-based Recommendation via Atten-Mixer Network" in the 16th ACM International WSDM Conference.
The award-winning paper dissects the classical GNN-based SBR models and empirically finds that some sophisticated GNN propagations are redundant, given the readout module plays a significant role in GNN-based models. Based on the evidence, the authors propose to remove the GNN propagation part, while the readout module will take on more responsibility in the model reasoning process. Finally, they propose the Multi-Level Attention Mixture Network(Atten-Mixer), which leverages both concept-view and instance-view readouts to achieve multi-level reasoning over item transitions.
According to the Mr. Peiyan Zhang, he would like to share that It is an honor to receive recognition from the academic community for our recommendation technology through the collaboration with our collaborators. We are proud to have gone beyond academic research to study commercial models that are actually used in the field. We will continue to create better AI Packs that are tailored to the unique needs of various industries and client's service environments, and contribute to their success.
Congratulations again to Dr. Sunghun Kim, PhD students, Mr. Peiyan Zhang, Miss Yueqi Xie, Mr. Jae Boum Kim and other researchers.
