PhD Student Yehong Xu Received Best Paper Award at 2022 Australasian Database Conference
PhD student Yehong Xu of Department of Computer Science & Engineering with researchers, received the Best Paper Award for her paper "A Top-Down Scheme for Coverage Centrality Queries on Road Networks" at 2022 Australasian Database Conference in Sydney.
The award-winning paper co-authored with Meungxuan Zhang, Ruizhong, Lei Li and Prof. Xiaofang Zhou proposes an efficient algorithm to compute the centrality of a single node efficiently in both static and dynamic scenarios, with the help of intra-region pruning, inter-region pruning, and town-down search. The result shows that our algorithm is efficient compared with the state-of-art method.
The Australasian Database Conference series is an annual forum for sharing the latest research progresses and novel applications of database systems, data management, data mining and data analytics for researchers and practitioners in these areas from Australia, New Zealand and in the world. The 33rd edition of the Australasian Database Conference, ADC 2022, will be co-located with the 48th International Conference on Very Large Data Bases (VLDB 2022) in Sydney, Australia.
Congratulations to Yehong and researchers!
