Dr. CHEN Hao Awarded The Asian Young Scientist Fellowship (AYSF) 2023
Congratulations to Dr. CHEN Hao on receiving the prestigious Asian Young Scientist Fellowship (AYSF) 2023 in Mathematics and Computer Science! He is the only awardee from Hong Kong in this discipline and his exceptional dedication and significant contributions to the field have earned him this well-deserved recognition. He will receive $100,000 USD over a two-year term to be spent on expenses supportive of their research.
As the sole awardee from Hong Kong in this discipline, the AYSF Committee acknowledges his contribution to the development of the medical imaging and analysis techniques using machine learning and would like to support his exploration in the direction of trustworthy AI technologies for medical imaging and analysis.
Once again, congratulations to Dr. Chen on this well-deserved recognition. The AYSF fellowship will undoubtedly empower him to further advance his research and contribute to the scientific community in meaningful ways.
The Asian Young Scientist Fellowship aims to encourage and support young scientists in Asia to carry out creative and transformative research. In 2023, 12 inaugural fellows of The Asian Young Scientist Fellowship (AYSF) are selected and are early-career scientists from mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, and Singapore. They represent the most creative minds in the scientific community working today. Their achievements and potential place them among the next generation of scientific leaders in Asia. The Fellowship is designed to enable early-career researchers to freely explore their areas of interest in science. The 2-year program provides opportunities for fellows to explore new avenues of research, gain exposure to diverse perspectives, and engage a network of international colleagues.
