MPhil Student Ho Kei CHENG Awarded the Chiang Chen Overseas Graduate Fellowship 2021/22
Current CSE MPhil student Ho Kei CHENG, who is also a COMP graduate, is selected as one of the recipients of the Chiang Chen Overseas Graduate Fellowship this year. The fellowship carries a sponsorship up to US$50,000 that covers 1-year tuition fee for a full-time PhD program in engineering at one of the top 10 universities in the United States. Ho Kei will start pursuing his PhD degree at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign this coming Fall. He is one of the very few local undergraduate graduates who was admitted into the Top 5 Computer Science PhD programs over the past decade. Ho Kei has also received a DPhil offer from the University of Oxford (UK) and a PhD offer from University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA).
Chiang Chen Overseas Graduate Fellowship aims at supporting outstanding engineering students in China's leading universities to pursue post-graduate studies in the United States. The fellowship was launched by Chiang Chen Industrial Charity Foundation in 2006. This year, ten fellowships have been offered to students who will begin postgraduate studies in the United States in Fall 2021. Tuition fees and a portion of living expenses for the program will be covered by the sponsorship of up to US$50,000.
