Two CSE students Awarded HKIE Scholarships 2023/2024

Two students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) have been honored with the prestigious Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) Scholarship for the 2023/2024 academic year. The awards were presented during the HKIE Prize Presentation Ceremony cum New Members' Reception held on January 13, 2024.

The distinguished awardees are:

  • Ali Shahman (BEng in Computer Science, Class of 2026)
  • Ren Yichen (BEng in Computer Science, Class of 2026)

The HKIE Scholarship scheme aims to recognize and reward the academic excellence of outstanding full-time engineering undergraduate students. It seeks to identify potential engineering talent and nurture them into the engineers of tomorrow. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to three students pursuing HKIE-accredited engineering programs at local universities.
