Prof. Bo LI Selected as the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Internet of Things Journal

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Bo LI from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering has been selected as the Editor-in-Chief (EiC) of IEEE Internet of Things Journal (IOTJ), which is a joint publication of IEEE Sensors Council, IEEE Communication Society, IEEE Computer Society, and IEEE Signal Processing Society.

About IEEE Internet of Things Journal

The IEEE IoT Journal (IoT-J), founded in 2014 ("Genesis of the IoT-J"), publishes papers on the most recent breakthroughs, as well as review articles, on various aspects of IoT. Topics covered include IoT system design, IoT enabling technologies, IoT communication and networking protocols, IoT services and applications, and the societal consequences of IoT. Examples include IoT demands, repercussions, and implications for sensor technologies, big data management, and future internet design for a variety of IoT use cases, including smart cities, smart surroundings, and smart homes. The areas of interest include:

  • IoT architectures include things-centric, data-centric, and service-centric architectures; CPS and SCADA platforms; future Internet design for IoT; cloud-based IoT; and system security and manageability.
  • Sensors, radio frequency identification, low-power and energy harvesting, sensor networks, machine-type communication, resource-constrained networks, real-time systems, IoT data analytics, in situ processing, and embedded software are examples of IoT enablers.
  • IoT services, applications, standards, and test beds include streaming data management and mining platforms, service middleware, an open service platform, semantic service management, security and privacy-preserving protocols, smart service and application design examples, and IoT application support.

We congratulate Prof. LI on this outstanding achievement and look forward to his continued contributions to IOTJ.
