CSE Research and Technology Forum 2024: A Platform for Knowledge-Sharing and Networking
The recently held Research and Technology Forum 2024 by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at HKUST was a grand success. The forum aimed to provide industry partners with an in-depth understanding of the department's research areas and the various collaboration channels offered by HKUST. More than 120 participants, including industry partners, alumni, HKUST staff, and students, attended the forum.
The forum featured a distinguished lineup of speakers, including the Head of the Department of CSE, Prof. Xiaofang Zhou, who delivered the opening remarks and an overview of CSE labs and research highlights. Mr. Pok Man YIU, Head (Investment Fund Management) of the Office of Knowledge Transfer (OKT), gave a presentation on the OKT's role in Creating Impact through Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development. Later in the event, 11 CSE faculty members presented the insights of their latest research projects, followed by a poster exhibition and refreshment session where 14 CSE PG students showcased their research works.
The forum served as an exceptional opportunity for HKUST to strengthen its ties with industry partners and alumni. It provided a platform for sharing knowledge and building connections, allowing participants to exchange ideas, learn from each other, and establish new relationships.
