Dr. Kenneth Leung Awarded in HKUST Common Core Teaching Excellence Award 2023

Dr. Kenneth Leung, Assistant Professor of Engineering Education from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, was awarded the HKUST Common Core Teaching Excellence Award 2023. The award, presented on May 30, 2024, recognized his significant contributions in designing and teaching the CORE 1231 Exploring Multimedia and Internet Computing course. Using an innovative blended educational approach, Dr. Leung made computational thinking skills accessible and engaging for mostly non-engineering students.

This isn't the first time Dr. Leung has been recognized for his teaching excellence. He received an Honorary Mention for the same course in 2019 and won the award in 2021 for the COMP 2711 Discrete Mathematical Tools for Computer Science course.
