The 1st ACM-W Student Chapter in Greater China Founded at HKUST
With the support of CSE, the Student Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery Council on Women in Computing (WACM) has been founded at HKUST. It is the first student chapter of ACM-W in Hong Kong and in the greater China.
ACM-W aims at supporting, celebrating, and advocating internationally for the full engagement of women in all aspects of the Computing field, providing a wide range of programs and services to ACM members, and working in the larger community to advance the contributions of technical women. As a student chapter of ACM-W, WACM provides a supporting network for female students at CSE, at HKUST, and in the larger Computing community. WACM is also a part of the SACM, the ACM Student Chapter at HKUST.
