CSE Students Win Second Prize at the 4th China Mobile Wutong Cup Big Data Innovation Competition

We are proud to announce that two CSE students, GUO Meichen and YE Yilin, won the Second Prize in the Data Security Track at the 4th China Mobile Wutong Cup Big Data Innovation Competition (Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan Region). This prestigious event was organized by China Mobile Communication Group and co-hosted by China Mobile Hong Kong.

This year marks the introduction of the "Wutong Cup" in Hong Kong, which has been held in various regions since 2021. The competition aims to discover university students’ research and innovative practices in fields such as data application, artificial intelligence, and data security, promoting the integration of China Mobile’s big data applications across different industries.

GUO Meichen, a student in the Dual Degree Program in Technology and Management (BEng in Computer Science and BBA in Finance), and YE Yilin, pursuing a BSc in Data Science and Technology, formed a dynamic team. They effectively utilized the provided data to investigate industry trends and technological hotspots, developing optimized data security management solutions.

An awards presentation ceremony for the "9th China Mobile Maker Marathon Competition (Hong Kong Region)" and the "4th China Mobile Wutong Cup Big Data Innovation Competition (Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan Region)" was held at Hong Kong Science Park on November 25, 2024.
