CSE Faculty and Alumni Recognized as AI 2000 Most Influential Scholars and Most Influential Scholars Honorable Mention
Two CSE faculty members are awarded "AI 2000 Most Influential Scholars", and four faculty members and alumni are recognized as "AI 2000 Most Influential Scholars Honorable Mention".
The AI 2000 Most influential Scholar Annual List will name 2,000 of the world's top-cited research scholars from fields of artificial intelligence over the next ten years (2020-2029). The list covers 20 sub-fields of AI. The top 10 most-cited scholars of their respective sub-field over the past 10 years are named as "AI 2000 Most Influential Scholars" and the top 11-100 scholars are recognized as "AI 2000 Most Influential Scholars Honorable Mention".
Professors who made to the AI 2000 Most Influential Scholars are:
- Prof. Qiang Yang, ranked no 1 in AAAI/IJCAI and ranked no 43 in Information Retrieval and Recommendation.
- Prof. Huamin Qu, ranked no 3 in Visualization.
Professors who made to the AI 2000 Most Influential Scholars Honorable Mention are:
- Prof. James Kwok, ranked 21st in AAAI/IJCAI.
- Prof. Tong Zhang, ranked 68th in Machine Learning.
- Prof. Zhengyou Zhang, ranked 46th in Multimedia.
A CSE alumnus was made to the AI 2000 Most Influential Scholars Honorable Mention:
- Dr. Jie Yin (2006 PhD graduate), ranked no 78 in AAAI/IJCAI. She was included in the Women in AI 2000 List.
