Wenjun LYU

Biography

Wenjun LYU is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Rutgers University in 2026. Prior to that, he obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Central South University.

His research interests include human-centric cyber-physical systems, embodied intelligence, and human–robot collaboration, with a particular focus on intelligent logistics. His vision is to enable intelligent systems to understand human activities, make reliable decisions, and collaborate effectively with people in complex physical environments. Through sustained industry collaboration, his research connects advances in learning and optimization with large-scale real-world deployments. He has published in leading international journals and conferences, including KDD, WWW, ICDE, IJCAI, AAAI, ACM IMWUT, and IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing.
