Biography
Wentao Xie is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He received his PhD degree in Computer Science and Engineering from HKUST. Before that, he completed his bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Southern University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on ubiquitous computing, with an emphasis on using Internet of Things (IoT) sensors to empower interaction and healthcare applications. His work has been published in top peer-reviewed journals and conferences such as ACM UbiComp/IMWUT, SenSys, and IEEE PerCom.
