Abstract:

With the development of the mobile device, security issue has been raised 
up.

Different from traditional electronic device such as television, desktop 
computer, laptop, the portability and flexibility of the mobile device 
have brought many new concerns. Based on these characteristics, many 
researcher topics not only from the attack view but also from the 
protector view have been discussed. Among them, information leakage is the 
most important attack method and authentication is the most widely 
discussed protection method. One common challenge in both methods is that 
how to utilize the information from the sensor.

In this survey, we first give the an overview of existing security issue 
from two aspects: the information leakage from attacker side and the 
authentication from protector side. Then we will introduce our work on 
gesture authentication. Finally, we summarize the survey and discuss 
future research directions for security issue on mobile computing.
