Title: "Digital Intervention for Mental Health of University Students"

Mr. Zuyu XU

Abstract:

The mental health of university students is an increasingly urgent concern,
with research identifying a high prevalence of psychological distress among
this population. Factors such as academic pressures, social adjustments, and
financial difficulties make students particularly vulnerable, yet traditional
campus-based mental health interventions often fail to meet their needs.
Digital interventions have emerged as a promising solution, leveraging
various technologies to deliver evidence-based psychological therapies,
including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness training, and
stress management. University students, being highly familiar with digital
tools, are well-suited to benefit from these scalable and accessible
interventions. This literature review categorizes existing digital mental
health interventions into four distinct types: promotion, prevention,
treatment, and maintenance. It synthesizes findings from recent studies,
highlighting their effectiveness in reducing symptoms of anxiety and
depression, improving emotional well-being, and enhancing coping skills among
university students. By identifying gaps and opportunities within the
current research landscape, this review aims to guide future developments in
digital mental health interventions tailored specifically for university
students.
