ABSTRACT:

This talk describes some easy to understand experiences in the e-commerce
store and corporate value chain constructions. We will review IBM's
Websphere Commerce functions for e-commerce software. One case study
will be used to show a typical project life cycle. We will then touch
on issues in programming paradigms and application software customization
development difficulties. To sell various type of products and services,
different end-to-end value chains behind the stores need to be defined.
We will review IBM's Websphere Business Integration as an enterprise
application integration platform. We will discuss information
integration methodologies and problem opportunities.
