The user interface is seen as a key way to differentiate products, promote brand awareness and increase customer loyalty. Consequently, what was a predominantly manufacturer-led design activity is now becoming a collaborative or co-design activity between operators, manufacturers and others. This presentation will describe the emergence of this new design environment in global markets. Key points of this talk:- - Technology developments and Mobile UI - Commercialization of the Mobile UI - Emergence of Design Ecologies - Stages of Mobile UI Co-Design - Future directions -products/services, design between East & West, ecologies, design roles and tools ********************** Biography: David Williams founded the mobile UI design consultancy MAJIRE in 2003.
