ABSTRACT:

In this talk I will discuss authentication problems in outsourced database
(ODB) systems. In such systems, the database owner publishes its data
through a number of remote servers, with the goal of enabling clients at
the edge of the network to access and query the data more efficiently. As
servers might be untrusted or can be compromised, query authentication
becomes an essential component of ODB systems. I will present solutions to
this problem assuming a dynamic setting, where the data owner updates the
database periodically.

If time permits, I am going to discuss some other projects that I am
currently working on with my students and collaborators at Boston
University.
