Abstract:

Pervasive computing (or ubiquitous computing) is about how future
computing technologies can "seamlessly" blend into our everyday
activities. Persuasive computing is about how to create digital technology
that can engage and excite people into active participation of desirable
physical and mental activities at home that are considered healthy,
creative, productive, educational, playful, etc. In this talk, I will give
an introduction on pervasive + persuasive computing. I will also share my
experience as a technologist working with human experts in this
interdisciplinary research.
