Abstract:

Dynamic languages such as JavaScript have become immensely popular, but
compared to other programming languages, little tool support is available
to the programmers to help making robust software. This talk gives an
overview of three research projects that aim to provide better tools for
JavaScript programmers: static analysis to detect type-related errors,
automated testing to produce high-coverage event sequences, and
refactoring tools to support maintainability.

In addition, the talk will include a brief overview of other activities at
Department of Computer Science, Aarhus University, aiming to identify
opportunities for collaboration between our research groups and HKUST.
