Abstract:

Conversational AI has attracted significant interest in recent years;
however, numerous challenges remain unsolved. This talk explores two
crucial dimensions for pushing this field forward: 1) "Enhanced
Understanding" - we focus on addressing the issue of speech recognition
errors to improve language comprehension capabilities in dialogue systems,
and 2) "Intelligent Interaction" - we seamlessly integrate conversational
recommenders to foster richer, more engaging interactions for better
practicality. These dimensions not only contribute to the effectiveness of
conversational AI but also shed light on promising directions for future
research and development in this exciting field.
