Abstract:
This presentation gives a comprehensive review of our previous studies on human-fashion product interactions, aimed at creating an AI-augmented Metaverse ecosystem to support a new generation of AI-driven design processes for fashion garments and wearables systems. Modeling complex user-product interactions across physical, cognitive, emotional, and socio-cultural dimensions by integrating multimodal human data and knowledge and real-virtual interactions, as well as creating ergonomic mechatronic system for human body characterization constitute the main axis of our approaches. It enables real-time human body characterization, personalized interactive fashion design recommendations. Our contributions include: (1) development of intelligent garments for online monitoring of human physiological indicators and physical performance, (2) interactive garment design tailored to individual anthropometric and cognitive profiles, (3) fabric digitalization and characterization, (4) knowledge-based adaptive design informed by emotional and socio-cultural factors. The entire fashion design process follows a human-in-the-loop cycle, namely design, recommendation, demonstration, and feedback, driven by joint use of data mining and knowledge integration. This work bridges AI, digital human modeling, and fashion engineering, enabling sustainable, inclusive, and intelligent design workflows within immersive virtual environments.
