Title: Introduction to Cybersecurity
Speaker: Dr. Shuai Wang, CSE
Abstract:
The cyber infrastructures of today contain a range of vital computing systems and private user data. Data and computing systems are both extremely useful.
Cybersecurity is critical because it guards against theft, tampering, and damage to all types of computing systems and user data. If you're interested in cybersecurity but unsure where to begin, this lecture will provide an overview of cybersecurity landscapes, including a definition of "security," a discussion of several typical cybersecurity attack/defense scenarios, and an introduction to the high-level concept of security mindset. This can provide you a taste of cybersecurity's principles and the many fastest-growing areas in this sector today.
