Industrial Final Year Projects - Information for Industry Partners

Final Year Projects (FYP) aim to provide an opportunity for students to apply and integrate the knowledge acquired throughout their undergraduate studies. The projects also aim to develop the capabilities of students in analyzing and solving complex and possibly real-case problem and to develop the skills of students in the systematic development, documentation and presentation of a significant piece of work.

Our department encourages industry partners to propose industrial FYPs with our department. Each project requires an internal faculty supervisor from CSE, HKUST. If companies/institutions are interested to collaborate with our department and have already identified a CSE faculty member, the company/institution may approach the faculty member directly.

If companies/institutions have not yet identified nor approached our faculty members, the company/institution may fill in the Industry FYP Proposal form and send to . Our department would help identify a suitable advisor for the project.

As students would be assigned to projects in early April, the collection time of Industry FYP proposals would be 1 Feb - 31 March every year.
