Abstract

Artificial neural network (ANN) has been an important machine learning
model in the last few decades. However, the performance of ANN has been
largely limited by the massive computation load for algorithmic simulation.
Hinton's new model of deep belief network (DBN) by Restricted Boltzmann
Machine (RBM) has set a new ground for ANN development. In this project,
we examine and evaluate the improvements of DBN and discuss possible
further development on the model.
