Welcome to the CSE Programming Commons!
This page provides you with information about the CSE Programming Commons, a dedicated space where you can ask programming questions related to your Computing courses.
If you encounter problems in C++/Java/Python or any programming languages, feel free to drop by!
It also serves as a platform to address any inquiries you may have regarding the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and its study programs.
Feel free to explore and engage in discussions with our senior students. We are here to support you and facilitate your learning journey.

The CSE Programming Commons is located at CSD Teaching Lab 1 (Rm 4221). You can find us on the 4th floor in the lab area, near lifts 19, 21 or 22. You can access lifts 19 and 22 through the corridor behind LTA and LTB in the academic concourse.
You can use HKUST Path Advisor to help you find your way to the room.
Schedule
The CSE Programming Commons operates throughout the semester from 21 Sep to 4 Dec, excluding the public holiday 19 Oct.
During this period, the CSE Programming Commons is available on the following days and times:
- Monday - 3 PM to 5 PM
- Wednesday - 3 PM to 5 PM
- Friday - 2 PM to 4 PM
